Local Organizations & Ministries
Louisiana IJM Advocacy Group
A group that connects Louisiana residents with IJM campaigns and Louisiana politicians to push for better anti-trafficking laws.
Operation Hope: Serving to Break the Chains
O.H. is a group out of Sulphur that was started by Bryttani MacNamara. They are a group of middleschoolers, highschoolers and adults who aim to bring awareness to their community, raise funds for anti-trafficking organizations and have a restoration home for trafficked girls built in SWLA.
I am Loved
By meeting the most simplest taken for granted human needs, they are here to love those women who have succumbed to a life on the streets. This ministry frequently holds dinners for the most often unloved and uncared for in Lake Charles. This ministry is led by Shawn Cardin, who came from the streets herself. This gives her an insight in what is needed to love on and help those who need it the most near Broad St.
We run this website to help bring awareness of the local human trafficking issue and what people in our community are doing to help stop it. We create ads in local publications like American Press and Thrive. We also
connect people, whether it's survivors to counselors or volunteers to the best group suited for them. We want to use the contacts that we've made over the past four years to get things done in the abolition movement. We help find missing people as well, when called upon.
